Last week, BC Building Trades unions sent a strong message to the business community.

If you want to do business in B.C., you must be willing to pay fair wages and conduct an open and transparent employment search.

On November 15th, a federal court judge granted court standing to Building Trades unions, giving them the right to challenge federal decisions that allowed an estimated 200 Chinese workers to be hired for jobs at a British Columbia coal mine.

BC Building Trades also challenged the provincial government to invest in skills training to prepare British Columbians for future jobs.
